Buffy season 8 finale

Season eight of Buffy the Vampire Slayer wrapped up this week as we got a glimpse of what is to coming in season nine and dealt with the repercussions of last few pages of last issue. While I won’t spoil anything for those who haven’t gotten to the store to read it yet, I will discuss the season in general so fear not you are safe to read on. I found the ending to be a bit sad and not anywhere near as uplifting as the end of the TV series that I will discuss later. I will talk about one minor plot point that I feel a need to comment on because I feel it was fixing a problem from the final TV season. DC Direct Mon El Review

Mattel's Alan Scott

As we get to the last figure I will be reviewing in the Ultra Humanite wave from Wal-Mart we get to one of my favorite characters of Alan Scott the original Green Lantern. I’m not sure when I was first exposed to Alan but am sure it was likely in the pages of the Justice League during one of their annual events with the Justice Society of America. I remember thinking how cool Earth 2 the place he inhabited was back then. It seemed like anything could happen. Characters aged unlike Earth 1 where the Justice League resided. They could get married, have children (like Batman’s daughter the original Huntress) and they could even die.

Mattel's Obsidian

We continue our look at the exclusive Ultra Humanite wave from Wal-Mart with Obsidian. I can’t tell you how happy I am to have this figure. This is a figure I thought pretty much would not be made so much so that I made a custom of it that turned out less than great. This figure is a welcome replacement and another top-notch figure from Mattel.

Mattel Zatanna review

You know the old cartoon George of the Jungle and how he would often say “George have secret weapon.... dumb luck!” I had a George moment last Saturday.
