Survivor 3 to go!

We’re a little behind on Survivor here due to job constraints but we need to talk about it before it's over. Russell upended everybody’s endgame last week by deciding oust Danielle. While he correctly deduced that Parvarti and Danielle were closer and plotting his demise, he may have done himself in also. I thought Parvarti had another win in the bag but the breaking up of the pair leaves that in doubt. What is curious is why such a good game player only recently realized that she is actually that good and the people were right to fear her. She’s not playing for second and I don’t know why it took a snub by Rupert to get her fired up.

Rupert’s rock in the pocket strategy was the first actually game play in three shows that he’s ever shown, and my hats off to him for bluffing Russell to keep himself and Colby in the game. Donaldson has been a mere shell of the player he once was, he never excelled socially that’s why he lost the first time at final vote and now doesn’t seem to be physically strong enough for challenges. The real game changer was Sandra finding the hidden immunity idol. I have been warning people since week two that she is a dangerous player who will cut anybody’s throat that she needs to. She has played under the radar and now can advance when she feels threatened by playing the idol and could use it to take out her nemesis Russell.

Jerri remains the wild card and could throw her vote anywhere; I for some reason have a soft spot in my heart for the old school villain. Her bitchiness was always blown out of proportion I thought and I would love to see her emerge for the villains to be crown queen of the villains but I don’t see an endgame that she can work to her favor. She hasn’t played particularly well, selling out Coach and Rob but it did allow her to advance both times. Parvarti hates her and the feeling is mutual so any teaming up there is unlikely. Parvarti would still win in a vote there; in fact I believe Parvarti would win any final tribal vote right now. Smart players should target her for elimination.

Russell’s alliance this week with Colby and Rupert seems laughable to me, I can’t see Rupert seriously working with him. Why Colby hasn’t at least tried to appeal to Jerri to form a working relationship is a mystery but then Donaldson’s strength has never been game play. Jerri would likely reject it but if I were him I would at least try since it would allow him to advance, but jury full of villains isn’t going to vote for Colby and would favor Jerri. Things are wide open right now and there is a lot of game still to be played. Sandra seems to be the only one in a solid position right now. Game on villains!
