Survivor 20 week 6 post game

It’s week 6 on Survivor with the promos telling us the both Heroes and Villains are headed for tribal things are about to get very interesting. Alpha males Russell and Boston Rob are squaring off to see who the big dog really is? Heroes don’t trust Candice but are hampered by an injured James. There are personal immunities for both teams to be won and wouldn’t you know it finds it’s way to the people who might need it the most. Before the night is over someone gives away their immunity idol to another person and we may have a person to add to the list of stupidest Survivors ever and the might not be the same person that gave up the idol. This game is only for the hardcore so get ready for some surprises and a few spoilers.

It’s night fourteen back at the heroes camp, Colby realizes he is a dead man walking without his main ally Tom who was just voted out. James tries to comfort Colby but cannot. Candice realizes she is trouble now too, she tells us she decided not to waste a vote for James and upset everyone she was coming back to camp with after the vote. She is pretty much by herself now which is shown as she sits alone in camp wondering what her next move will be. She is in an alliance with everybody left but no one trusts her, which is pointed out by Amanda. She is next on Amanda’s chopping block and she wants her gone badly. I had forgotten what a good actress Amanda could be last week and was fooled into think she had genuine affection for James until I saw her extra on line video where she told us she only kept James around because he will vote anyway she tells him. Although I believe she does like James, it is not as deep as she portrayed it to be last week. You conned me Amanda, why didn’t I expect it?

Meanwhile at the Villains’ camp, Russell awakes to find Boston Rob still up and decides it’s time for a one on one talk. Russell thinks he can put one over on Rob by telling him “he doesn’t want them be at each other’s throats” but Rob is not buying it. Russell tells the viewers that he is targeting Rob because he has threatened him and when that happens you go. Rob tells him that at lot of people are mad because he went looking for the hidden immunity idol. He tells him he better have it and better be prepared to use it. Rob is trying to apply pressure to make Russell panic and tells us that Russell is playing with the big boys now and that he isn’t playing with the amateurs anymore. Rob closes by telling Russell to watch his back and in typical Russell fashion he responds by telling Rob to watch his own back. These two cannot co-exist much longer and things are coming to a head soon.

Day fifthteen arrives along with a very vague tree mail that indicates neither a reward nor an immunity challenge that sets everyone on edge. As the heroes file into the challenge the villains are shocked to still find the injured James in the game and can’t quite believe it. Some openly questioning it. As Jeff takes back immunity from the villains, he unveils the personal immunity necklace and tells both teams they will be going to tribal. One hero and one villain will be immune from the vote to be decided by the challenge. These two will face off again to determine which team will win and get a Hot dog feast and get to listen in on the losing tribal. The challenge is a complicated rope one from Tyson, Coach and TJ’s season that will require the Survivors to crawl up and down the rope wrapped around a beam until the finish.

The villains win a rock paper and scissors and they decide that the heroes will go first. Colby and Candice realize must win immunity to stay in the game. As the challenge starts Amanda and Candice take an early lead but James surprises everyone including Probst by taking coming back to forge ahead which causes Courtney of the villains team to openly mock the heroes pretending to be impressed by James effort. Colby who needs immunity desperately struggles falling behind even the injured James. Candice and TJ quickly make up ground but Candice is the first the second part of the course followed by TJ. Even though he has done with before and even reached the finals losing to Tyson the last time TJ is not quick enough and Candice wins personal immunity. I don’t know how it happens, but the person needs immunity the worst often gets it and this has surely saved Candice since no one trust her. Candice is safe from the vote and will try to bring home food for the tribe.

The villains are up next and Tyson and Rob are off to early leads by throwing themselves in the challenge. Russell is close behind, as the others seem to falter. Sandra barely gets past the start line as Parvarti makes up ground and gets into the competition, but it becomes clear it is a race between Boston Rob, Tyson, and Russell. Rob is the first to the second part of the challenge Tyson and Russell quickly follow but it is too late. Boston Rob wins personal immunity. Rob now is immune from the vote and Russell has the hidden immunity idol so it appears that he is not going home either. A villain fate has been sealed, but who will it be? Parvati is very vulnerable now.

There is still the food reward to be determined and who gets to watch the tribal of the loser as Candice faces off against Boston Rob in harder more intricate and larger rope challenge. Rob takes an early lead but is followed closely by Candice. She only trails by a slight margin throughout the rope maze. Rob continues to lead and extends it slight towards the end. Candice falls further behind as Rob is the first out of the maze. An exhausted Rob leads the villains’ team to victory again has he has done week after week and without a doubt when it comes to the challenges this season Boston Rob is the man.

At the villains’ camp, Parvati knows she needed immunity and laments Rob getting it. Rob gathers his forces including Tyson, Jerri and Courtney and says it is Parvati they are targeting but they must make Russell think that they are after him to get him to play the idol. Coach is listening in and it is now up to him to decide whose side he is on Rob’s or Russell’s. He says he is being pulled in two directions by Tyson & Rob against Russell but says he is a man of his word and is voting for Parvati. Rob goes directly to Russell and tells him that he is going and that he better have the idol to save himself as Russell claims not to have it. Rob tells him it is better to play with him than against him, which Russell says he plans to make him eat his words. Russell says it was stupid to tell him in advance and realizes that they are targeting Parvati instead and thinks he will give the immunity idol to Parvati to save her and tells her and Danielle of his plan to vote for Tyson. Exposing himself but hoping that they will still be voting Parvati and then Tyson goes home. Will he go though with it is the question? Russell giving up immunity does not seem likely. Parvati has some nervous moments ahead.

Back at the heroes camp, Colby accepts his fate and tells everyone that he doesn’t want any scrambling this afternoon and announces that he knows that he is going and that he understands and no hard feeling. James discuss Colby’s under performance in the challenges and James goes so far to say Colby got beat by a fat man and a cripple in today’s challenges. Colby can’t argue and doesn’t even try to state a case for keeping him and basically gives up. James says Colby doesn’t want to be here anymore and says he is disappointed in Colby. James still wants to be here and is ready to fight to stay. Amanda, Rupert, JT and Candice meet to discuss the voting and much to Amanda’s displeasure it seems the group favors getting rid of the weaken James and some complaining about James eating to many bananas. Amanda wants James to stay since she controls his vote and brings the bad news to James. She tells him he must prove that his leg is getting better so they will keep him and gives him a heads up on the banana situation. She advises him to get a banana for everyone when he gets some because it is good etiquette. James is taken aback by this and decides to prove himself by challenging Rupert to a race. Rupert declines but James forces TJ to run a foot race against which TJ wins easily even running backwards to beat to him. James is willing to anything to stay while Colby watches the waves come in on the beach and does nothing.

Rob at villains’ camp has realized his error in telling Russell that they are voting for him, he tells the group they must split the vote to insure that either Russell or Parvati is going home. 3 votes for Russell and 3 votes for Parvati will negate Russell’s 3 votes that he correctly deduces are going to Tyson. Three chosen to vote for Russell are Tyson, Rob, and Sandra. Courtney, Coach and Jerri will vote for Parvarti. If one of them plays the idol and there is a tie there will be a revote and the one who didn’t play the idol goes home. It seems a foolproof plan, and even Russell doesn’t think that any of his opponents could have figured it out. Rob’s plan seems to be working perfectly until Russell pulls Tyson aside and tells him he is playing the idol to save himself and he’s planted one of his Russell seeds in Tyson mind. Tyson wants Parvati gone and considers flipping his vote to her. Russell is not sure whether to give Parvati the idol or not and has a hard decision on exposing himself to the danger of being voted out.

It’s tribal time and the villains get to vote first. The topic of hidden immunity idols comes up immediately while Rob tries to play coy and say we don’t know who has it. Attack dog Sandra goes right after Russell saying we all know who has it. This again proves to me that she is a dangerous player that is being underestimated by everyone. In fact I believe her to be second only to Parvati in being the most dangerous player in the game and is just looking for her opportunity to make her move on Rob. Russell is not worried, if you don’t have the idol you can’t play it he says. Discussion centers around who is more dangerous to remain Tyson or Parvati who both have connection on the heroes team in TJ and Amanda. Courtney is asked about Rob who she says is a polarizing figure that you like or you don’t. It’s time to vote and we see several votes going to the three names in jeopardy but do not see Tyson’s vote. Rob even says “welcome to the big leagues” when he shows his vote for Russell. Jeff announces that hidden idols must be played now before votes are read. Russell rises and announces he has the idol and walks toward Jeff appearing to turn it in much to Parvarti's chagrin. Suddenly he stops and makes a direct appeal to Coach saying he is man on his word and turns back and gives the idol to Parvati to play. The stunned Parvati can’t believe her luck and asks if he is serious which he confirms and she plays the idol so no votes will count for her. Russell is exposed to the trap and all that needs to be done is spring it. The first two votes are for Russell and things look bad for him but this followed by four straight votes for Parvati. Tyson has flipped his vote and unknowingly sealed his own doom. Three votes from Russell’s camp sends him packing. Russell has outwitted his opponents again. Parvati wonders what the hell just happened aloud and I can’t wait to see the villain’s camp post vote next week.

It’s time for the villains to eat as the heroes drag what remains of them to tribal. There is a lot of discussion about James and his injury. James talks about his race with TJ and turns on the charm with the banana story that has even the villains laughing out loud and Amanda smiling. James wastes no time in going after Colby saying that he idolized him watching and has now found out that is Superman is wearing a fat suit. Jeff asked Colby how that makes him feel to which Colby replies it not as bad hearing it as living it. I’m sure Jerri is enjoying the hell out of Colby’s shortcoming while eating her hot dog. Colby admits he has not performed as well as he would like to have. On that note, Jeff ushers out the villains and it time to vote. As expected one vote for Colby and one vote for James comes in. They are followed by the more votes for James as Amanda looks sadder and sadder as the come in and he is eliminated. Amanda bids James farewell by telling him she loves him but probably not as much as it appears. James is ready to get a drink and Jeff suggests a new alliance has formed in the heroes’ camp. Hardly Jeff, the Heroes’ camp is fractured beyond repair and is down 8 to 5 to the villains.

I hold out no hope of Rupert or Colby surviving a merge. Candice is a free agent that could be bought by the villains if she survives that long. The heroes have yet to win anything really so she is in trouble at the next heroes vote. Only mega game players Amanda and TJ have a chance at the merge but they must turn someone to their side. Amanda will likely target Parvati if she is there and this will depend on Russell being in or out of the game. TJ could go after Coach but he betrayed him last time. It will be a hard sell for any of the heroes to break the villains since I doubt any want to see a hero at final tribal. Candice, TJ and Amanda must look for who feels weakest in the villains’ camp and try to exploit them. It is their only hope. One thing is for sure Rob and Russell cannot co-exist anymore and one of them is like next out for the villains.
